Abstract

Objective: To study in patients with hypertension on atrial fibrillation electro-anatomical characteristics. METHODS: Selected 213 in our hospital cardiology accepted by the CARTO system guided circumferential pulmonary vein isolation for atrial fibrillation patients, including 77 patients with persistent atrial fibrillation , paroxysmal atrial fibrillation in patients with sinus rhythm mapping 88 people , the array onset atrial fibrillation in patients with atrial fibrillation mapping when 48 people . Each group then divided without hypertension hypertension group ( 77 people ) and non- hypertensive group ( 126 people ) , the CARTO guided downstream circumferential pulmonary vein isolation . Ablation been electro-anatomical mapping images recorded average voltage amplitude , simultaneous analysis of the clinical data of these patients , such as gender, duration of AF , left atrial size. And follow-up observation of the relationship with the success rate . Results: paroxysmal atrial sinus rhythm mapping group without hypertension group and hypertension group, mean left atrial bipolar voltage higher (P lt; 0.05), while the low proportion of low- voltage region (P lt; 0.05) . Mapping of atrial fibrillation in patients with paroxysmal AF patients with persistent AF group and had similar results , a higher voltage bipolar group without hypertension ( both P lt; 0.05), the low proportion of low- voltage region ( both P lt; 0.05) . Ablation follow-up 6.5 ± 2.3 months, and each group of patients without hypertension, atrial fibrillation and hypertension radiofrequency ablation group had no significant difference in success rate ( each group P gt; 0.05). Conclusion: Patients with atrial fibrillation with hypertension show more pronounced changes in left atrial electro-anatomical characteristics , suggesting that high blood pressure can lead to changes in atrial substrate , thereby participate in the occurrence of atrial fibrillation and maintenance . But these changes has not yet shown the impact of atrial fibrillation ablation results , the specific mechanisms and causes still need further studies.
