As competition intensifies, in order to be competitive and stand on the market , contemporary companies need to increasingly innovate. An entrepreneur refers to the direct operation of enterprise, to a large extent decides the fate of the enterprise, and impels the innovation process, so the study of innovation and entrepreneurship behavior is practical significant.Economic rent is the driving force of entrepreneurs for innovation, and since the 20th century, the main contribution that entrepreneurs made in the business model innovation is more than technological innovation, so this article focuses on the entrepreneurial behavior of business model innovation. Analyzes how the economic rent to drive entrepreneur innovation, and the process of innovation behavior. Meanwhile based on the research of economic rent, accompanying with characteristics of business model innovation, this paper deduces five capacities and characteristics from entrepreneur theory, namely: the ability of discovering opportunities, integrating resources, allocating resources, burdening with risks and uncertainties and entrepreneurs achievements, then respectively analyze how the entrepreneurs’ capacities and characteristics to deal with business model innovation, as well as analyze performance of the innovative behavior. Thus establishes a theoretical model, and proposes 6 assumptions, then according to questionnaire survey, collects data, and verifies the assumptions. Finally, concludes that entrepreneurs’ abilities of discovering opportunities and burdening with risks and uncertainties, respectively have a observably positive impact on Entrepreneurs’ behavior of business model innovation, and innovation behavior has a observably positive impact on performance. So proves that the behavior could get the economic rent.
