Abstract


Mental energy is a new research field in the last ten years , the mental energy self- dependence in the play of its executive function cognitive resources , the experience of individual subjective perception of body and mental energy . Theoretical and empirical studies of psychological energy , the energy of the force model of self-regulation and self-determination theory perspective . The two theories psychic energy from different perspectives , different conclusions . This study attempts to integrate the two theories , the use of self-regulating force model of psychological energy self loss experimental paradigm , three basic psychological self-determination theory emphasized to improve mental energy in the process of self-regulation activities need experimental studies to explore the psychological energy self- loss phenomenon exists , as well as to meet the basic psychological needs whether it can overcome the negative effects of self- loss effects . In this study, a total of four experiments , the experiment selected 50 college students , experimental study of dual - task paradigm , derived psychological loss the existence of this conclusion . The second experiment and the third experiment were selected 80 , 2 × 2 between subjects experimental design . By different experimental conditions , respectively, to meet own needs and abilities were necessary, whether the visits to meet the basic psychological need to be trial and does not meet the basic psychological needs were in dual-task paradigm self-adjusting performance on the task there are differences. Experiment four select 80 test , measuring its schools a sense of belonging , were selected to score around 27% of the subjects were as a high sense of belonging to groups and low sense of belonging to groups , the two groups were in dual- task paradigm a self- regulating differences in performance on the task . After analysis and discussion of the results , and finally arrive at the following conclusions : 1 . Activities of self-regulation , self- loss effect does exist . 2 . Meet the individual 's own need to be able to overcome the negative effects of self - loss effects . Meet individuals need to be able to overcome the negative effects of self - loss effects . High sense of belonging to the individual compared to a low sense of belonging to individuals less psychological energy loss in the activities of self-regulation .
