Abstract

With free surface flow phenomenon widely exist in real life, it is inextricably linked with the survival and development of mankind, the use and study of it has never been interruption. Harbor, Coastal and Offshore Engineering research areas, free surface flow problems is also one of the very important part. Ocean deep sea drilling platforms, risers, bridge pier, the ocean-going ship, masts and other structures through the free surface, causing the surface of the viscous effects, including various forms of free surface wave phenomenon, surface thin boundary layer bubble entrainment, and three-dimensional fluid separation phenomenon. Marine engineering, the current study focused on the ship through the free surface, and rarely penetrate the free surface of the cylindrical structure. This article uses computational fluid dynamics software CFX application RNGk-ε turbulence model combined VOF (Volume Of Fluid) method in the Reynolds number 10 4 to 10 5 , Fraunhofer The Tak number within the range of 0.15 to 0.88, a three-dimensional cylinder in a uniform flow field penetration free surface flow around. Analysis of the free surface of the flow field around the cylinder when the changes and to analyze the impact of free surface flow field around the cylindrical tail tracks, summarizes the variation of the flow field for different Reynolds number and the Froude number. Also analyzed the free liquid to the face of the cylindrical surface of the influence of various forces and numerical simulation of the results and the existing calculation results were compared and analyzed. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: 1. Before the cylindrical stagnation, rising free surface height L is less than Fr 2 * D / 2. Backpressure zone, due to the free surface effect, the pressure coefficient in the base of the cylindrical back pressure zone within the range of -0.7 ~ .0.5, and the decline in the free surface of the backpressure zone the depth L and pb, base pressure coefficients satisfy C = 2gL 0 / the V 2 . As the Froude number increases, increase the depth and scope of the free surface effect. Higher Reynolds number limit the role of the free surface flow field, the smaller the impact of the free surface flow field flow. Different water depths of cylindrical cross-section of when the pressure coefficient with the week to the angle of the change in trend and no free surface when all the pressure coefficient changes trend line, but in the free surface affect the range, the same week to the angle of when all the pressure coefficient with the water depth decreases with an increase. 4 Cylindrical total when drag coefficient, pulsation resistance coefficient and pulsation lift coefficient and the same water depth of each section of the time-averaged drag coefficient, the pulsation resistance coefficient and pulsating lift coefficient increases and decreases with the Froude number and Reynolds number.
