Abstract

With the increasingly frequent foreign exchange, the increase in the demand for English talent, cultivate the students' English speaking ability is especially important, it is the requirements of social development, but also the need for lifelong development of students. However, due to various factors, oral teaching high school English teaching is still a weak link, the teachers too much emphasis on the knowledge of the language to explain and teach, to neglect the cultivation of the ability to use language, students' speaking ability is generally weak. Oral English Teaching for high school, and I take full advantage of existing teaching materials and teaching resources, explore effective way of teaching high school English spoken in the practice, research related to classroom teaching oral classroom activities design and extra-curricular activities of the organization, the oral teaching into all aspects of English teaching, and ultimately develop students' interest in verbal learning and improve speaking skills, oral communication goals. The paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction of this thesis research background brief High School Oral English Teaching used questionnaires to investigate the case of high school students learning English, from students, teachers, and the environment to explore students' English speaking ability lags behind reasons, and to clarify the purpose and significance of the research. The second chapter outlines the research status quo of the oral teaching at home and abroad, including research on the characteristics of the spoken language, the factors affecting the speaking ability, the historical evolution of domestic spoken English teaching methods, and focuses on the concept of the communicative approach and task-based language teaching theory. Spoken English Teaching communication principles as a guide, the task-based teaching methods used in high school oral English teaching can improve students' English proficiency. Chapter III clarifies the oral teaching high school English teaching ideas the oral teaching goals and teaching principles, to focus on cultivating students 'oral' interest in learning, to create a good English learning atmosphere, and the degree of attention and training efforts to strengthen oral teaching, and to take into account the language teaching accurately, appropriately and fluently. The fourth is the author of oral teaching practice, communication principles guided by oral teaching into all aspects of English teaching, to explore an effective way to improve oral teaching. Utilize existing materials on the basis of the task-based teaching model used in conversation class, and design a variety of oral classroom activities, including daily conversation drills, reading aloud recite, repeat, free discussion, role-playing games, but also to explore improve the oral extra-curricular activities, as far as possible for students to create good spoken English learning environment, students speaking interest, to improve students' speaking ability. The concluding section discusses the reasons for the oral teaching practice and achieved certain results, long-term adherence will be able to effectively improve the students' speaking ability, and to reflect on the inadequacies of the study and improvement measures.
