Abstract


Independent reading is a process of self - learning , autonomous learning refers to learning the subject learning goals , learning process , learning outcomes and aspects of scientific and rational self - planning , self - management , self-regulation , self-testing , self-evaluation and self- feedback and finally made ??some progress in the learning . The English curriculum standards issued by the Ministry of Education in 2001 , the amount of reading requirements of junior high school graduates and advocated self- learning mode illustrates the necessity and urgency of establishing students independent reading ability teaching mode . This article select \The first summarized the state of development of the theory of reading at home and abroad and self- learning theory , and the experimental concept of \Clarify their physiological and psychological characteristics of the junior high school stage is an important period for the development of students ' self- learning ability ; then , the status quo of the students ' own reading ability , surveys and interviews . Specific information collected through the analysis of the survey results , the experimental study provides a valid scientific basis . The experiment is divided into the classroom and outside the classroom , simultaneously . Classroom teachers teaching model on independent reading English newspaper reading lesson . Outside of the classroom , the students independent reading programs to develop individualized independent reading newspapers . We also guide students on their reading self-evaluation . After the end of the experiment , the authors generated experimental data were analyzed using EXCEL software , thus proving the culture of junior high school students to help improve students' reading ability independent ability to read English-language newspaper . Finally, the paper evaluated the advantages and disadvantages of the experiment , and reflect inadequacies , and suggestions for further research .
