Abstract


Foreign language learning is a long , complex process , which involves a variety of variables and factors . And the acquisition of the mother tongue , due to the lack of a real context and enough information input language learners in learning a foreign language will face a lot of difficulties , high school students learning English especially . In order to realize the learning objectives of the high school English curriculum standards and requirements , rely on limited classroom teaching is not enough , but also give full play to the initiative of students , foster students' ability to learn . Dictionary and Foreign Language Learning in the nature of language and the function has inextricably inseparable link . Second Language Acquisition many studies have shown that the dictionary use is one of the strategies of foreign language learning can not be ignored . The dictionary is not only an important and indispensable tool for language learners learn a foreign language , but also one of the important means to develop independent learning ability . Start from the basic situation of the current high school students using English Dictionary , using a questionnaire of high school students at a particular stage of the cognitive process of learning English different choice and use of various English Dictionary strategy , analysis of the current students widespread problem in the dictionary to use and the corresponding solution , by guiding students to form a correct dictionary use values ??, to train students in the proper use of the dictionary strategies , thus improving the students ' self - learning ability , and ultimately to achieve the ultimate goal of learning .
