Abstract

In order to improve the friction and wear properties of metallic materials, paper selected organisms prototype has excellent abrasion resistance corrugated dung beetle elytra, through in-depth study of its mechanism of wear, friction reasonable simplified mathematical model bionic were attached using air Argon and deionized water as working medium, the use of laser melting in gray cast iron, GCr15 steel ball bearings and H13 hot work die steel surfaces prepared nanocrystalline unit body, the effects of different processing unit body feature size medium on the impact of different Laser Melting water film thickness on the bionic unit body microstructure effects; derived laser melting temperature and cooling rate expression that evaluates to air and water film thickness under different cooling rates bath explore Nano laser melting water film crystal formation mechanism, detailed discussion of air and deionized water laser melting on gray cast iron, ball bearing steel and hot work die steel friction and wear properties. The results show that laser remelting of deionized water was prepared cell body, with nanostructured microstructure; Under the same conditions, the ball bearing steel and hot work die steel specimen can be prepared nanocrystals, and in gray cast iron only prepared microstructure than air fused tissue was significantly refined, but not prepared nanocrystals. Analysis, at the same cooling rate, the principal components and materials, metallurgy mechanism different factors. It was found that, under the same experimental conditions, with the water film thickness increases, the prepared nanocrystalline particle size decreases; in hot work die steel prepared nanocrystalline grain size is smaller than the ball bearing steel. Deionized water film laser surface melting gray iron, ball bearing steel and hot work die steel, the hardness of the three materials bionic unit body than a substantial increase in air handling, wear reduction, reduced and stable friction coefficient, wear mechanism also changed. Comparison, the same processing parameters, H13 bionic specimen lowest coefficient of friction and wear, followed GCr15 bionic sample, the final sample for the bionic gray cast iron. In this paper, the water film laser melting process of Nanocrystalline unit body, can greatly improve the selection of materials at room temperature dry sliding friction and wear properties. This technique overcomes the current conventional bulk nanofabrication technical difficulties, without high temperature, high pressure, high vacuum and other extreme environments, no preprocessing and post-processing, low cost process is simple and feasible; would bionics theory excellent performance of nanomaterials coupled wear-resistant materials for the study, abrasion wear open new avenues in the industrial applications will have broad prospects
