Abstract


Shanghai International Tennis tournament is the product of the combination of China’s reforming and opening up to world and professional sports, through twenty years’complicated development and the race have been expanding, the level have been rising, it has become one of the famous international competitions. From Heineken Tennis Opening to the Masters Cup’s successful application, and to the establishment of ATP1000 Open tournament, the Shanghai International Tennis tournament is more and more mature.In this paper, Shanghai Heineken Open race, Shanghai Masters Cup, Shanghai ATP1000 Open race as the main object of study, the author uses literature, investigation (including site survey, interview survey, and questionnaire survey), historical analysis and other research methods, to analyze the development process of international tennis tournament in Shanghai and found that the development of the Shanghai International Tennis tournament doing well, but there are also many problems, such as: compare with the other international countries, the development process of Shanghai International Tennis tournament is short; the audience market is not mature enough; influenced by planning economy, the common problems are monopolizing of broadcast market, double gauge management, and poor quality of service.On this basis, through a comprehensive analysis of problems of the Shanghai International Tennis tournament, putting forward the following measures initially: 1. To construct a reasonable competition mechanism of professional sports television commercial broadcast market. 2. To strengthen government regulation, give full play to market resources. 3. Learn successful experience of foreign competition, strengthen the management of team. 4. To carry out long-term tennis, to expand tennis population and cultivate consumer groups. 5. To combine government and enterprises, improve the service operating system. These measures have pertinence and aptness to the problems of the development of the Shanghai International Tennis tournament, and have impetus to Shanghai International tennis tournament on rapid and stable development.
