Abstract


At present aerobics courses are taken as selective courses by most universities in Heilongjiang Province. In order to improve the development of this course and make it develop more scientifically, orderly and rationally, the paper has made a survey of aerobics course in Heilongjiang Province for the purpose of understanding the present situation of this course including teachers’structure, teaching aims, teaching program, teaching contents, teaching material, facilities and the contents and methods of examination. It has also analyzed the problems in aerobics course and then illustrated some countermeasures. This paper also provided the reference for improving the development of aerobics course in the universities’physical education of Heilongjiang Province, and the valuable basis for the further reform of aerobics course in the universities.Approaches of documents, questionnaire survey, expert interview and statistics are used in this paper. Taking the universities of Heilongjiang province as respondents, this paper mainly investigates and analyzes the aerobics course of 12 universities. The conclusions are as follows:At present, most of universities in Heilongjiang Province have offered aerobics courses. 83% of 12 surveyed universities have offered the course for boys, which indicates that aerobics teaching in the universities of Heilongjiang province has come into the stage of steady development.The teaching staff of aerobics in universities in Heilongjiang province tend to be middle-aged, whose academic level is relatively lower than those in other provinces. Teachers graduated with the major of aerobics account for a small part of the whole staff, and ones with full-time job have fewer opportunities to further their study. In addition, most teachers can teach aerobics course but can not teach other courses such as Latin Aerobics, Aerobic dance, Street dance, Yoga.Aerobics course is loved by students in the universities in Heilongjiang province, most of which has a clear learning motivation and their own demands for teaching contents. Although the students’learning motivation is clear, the present teaching situation can not meet the students’needs. For the aerobics outside class, different universities have different situation.At present, aerobics courses offered in universities in Heilongjiang province are unitary and not plentiful. Various universities mainly offered aerobics courses with so less novel contents that these courses cannot satisfy the students’needs of personality and innovation ability.The facilities at the arenas in most of universities in Heilongjiang province are poor.At the moment, because of the less aerobics competition among the universities in Heilongjiang province, students cannot exercise more outside class. Publicity is not enough in the campus so that lots of students view the aerobics as girls’exercise items. Consequently, most of boys are not involved in Aerobics course.
