Abstract

Currently, life skills education in many countries around the world to accept, and is considered one of the most effective ways to promote adolescent health. Since the early 1980s, life skills began to rapidly launch in more than 30 countries around the world. World Health Organization in 1993 and further life skills systematic, standardized, and more to promote the promotion of life skills in the various countries. Although China has some life skills, but the breadth and depth of the research, the study of life skills is not serious enough depth. This article by combing Chinese scholars to research literature on life skills and related issues over the years, Chinese scholars study the life skills through experimental intervention study on the effectiveness of life skills education in the prevention and resolution of adolescent mental and behavioral problems. And life skills, little concern for rural students, especially in rural junior high school students. Rural students is the main force of the future building of a new socialist countryside, the quality of their relationship with the future of rural areas. Since the reform and opening up, with the development of China's rural economy and society, the psychological and behavioral problems of rural junior high school students also increasingly apparent. One of the life skills that prevention and the most effective way to address adolescent mental and behavioral problems, then, the status of the rural middle school students life skills? What are the factors that affect it? Chosen for this study of a rural township junior randomly selected students 195, according to the characteristics of the physical and mental development of the rural middle school students, living skills, self-awareness, learning ability, interpersonal skills and emotional ability to regulate and control the five dimensions, using the questionnaire on the status of rural middle school students life skills statistical analysis. Analyzed by the statistics of the questionnaire: the overall situation of rural junior high school students life skills, but it also has many disadvantages. Living skills, rural junior high school students is highly dependent not own purchasing daily necessities of life; lack of life common sense, to encounter common accidents of life do not know how to deal with; hands-on practice is not strong, do not wash their clothes will not dry farm work; understanding of their own abilities, intelligence, temperament, thinking, and emotion is still relatively vague. Understanding of their own list of all the pros and cons, not \peer exchanges but is not yet the right choice; better performance in emotional reflection, but poor emotional self-control, reasonable ability to regulate emotions to be improved. In this study, through in-depth interviews, found that the formation of the students' life skills, family, school and social environment are inseparable. Accelerated process of urbanization, the concept of farmer education to the education of the \behavioral problems, do not attach importance to the cultivation of their children life skills. Education system schools unreasonable, the blind pursuit of the enrollment rate, teachers teach for further education students for further studies and science. Teachers no energy and no interest to take into account the culture of the other abilities of students, which seriously affect the formation of the rural middle school students life skills. The rural surroundings of many young idleness, gambling, smoking, and that the adverse social reading useless and so is also slowly seep into the thinking of the rural middle school students, and gradually formed a life of dependency and learning inert. This study suggests that schools, families and the community should join forces to jointly create the conditions for rural junior high school students life skills. Peasants quality schools should play a guiding role in education, to help farmers establish a proper child-rearing concepts, and to raise their awareness of life skills education.
