Abstract

The emergence of the Internet and the rapid development of information retrieval environment has undergone major changes , the skyrocketing number of pages , so fast and accurate access to information more difficult . In this context , the search engine has become indispensable information retrieval tool. Often a large number of pages returned by the search engine , how to allow users to quickly find the most accurate information , it is particularly important in a large number of return results . Search engine page ranking algorithm , will be able to determine whether the user can find the information in the front pages in the sort sorting algorithm is a direct impact on the experience of the use of search engines , to determine the usefulness of the search engine . Existing sorting algorithms of the search engines , Web link structure - based algorithm two main representative algorithm is PageRank algorithm and HITS algorithm , based on these two algorithms by many domestic and foreign scholars and research institutions to carry out the continuous exploration and improvements. In this paper, the classic sorting algorithm on the basis of the analysis of the development of domestic and international search engines , in-depth analysis ( such as PageRank and HITS) and improved algorithm and summarized , and ARC algorithm ( improved characteristics and shortcomings of the HITS algorithm ) is proposed to derive simplified method based on the link similarity improved algorithm , using Bayesian probability model . Experimental platform , and then create a search engine to verify the link-based similarity ARC algorithm , the experimental results show that the improved the ARC algorithm effectively control topic drift , to improve the performance of the search engine .
