Abstract


This thesis,based on the features of port logistics in northeastern part of China and macroeconomic environment, does some research on the macroeconomic environment, development policy environment of DaLian Bulk Grain Terminal Company and environment of competition. Through the research,it can be seen in the next few years, even longer economic cycle, Grain market will continue to maintain steady and fast growth, which will further stimulate demand of grain port logistics.Port logistics service in northeastern part of China will meet a new rapid development period thereof. Meanwhile, in order to contend for markets, Grain port logistics enterprise existed in northeastern part of China will face intense competition.DaLian Bulk Grain Terminal Company(hereafter referred to as Bulk Grain Terminal Company)will encounter lots of external opportunities and threats among this intense competition environment. That how to Formulate a new competitive strategy,which can make full use of the advantage to seize the opportunities inside and can effectively overcome the disadvantage of itself to avoid the risk,has become the most important thing of the company. Based on the related theories of strategic management and adoption of macro and micro, qualitative and quantitative analysis approaches, This thesis systematically reaserches on the company’s internal and external environment factors for the purpose of seeking a best competition strategy.Firstly, starting from the macro environment, this thesis is to find the external environment-opportunities and threats, using PEST analysis, potter’s five competitive analysis method and to find the advantages and disadvantages through the analysis of the internal resources and the capabilities of the company itself.According to the internal and external environment of company, combining the SWOT analysis and potter’s three competition strategies, Bulk Grain Terminal Company should adopts cost leadership strategy. Finally,this thesis proposes some relevant measures and some other auxiliary measures for the competition strategy of the company.
