Abstract


This research is based on the program "masters" of Documentary Channel of Shanghai TV Station. The reseach adopts the methodology of culturology and media sociology to discuss the proper way for televison shows to reconstruct and present history. First of all, the reseach goes through the "masters" aired in the past four years to analyse their content, pattern and viewpoint, in order to observe how television media utilizes its professional methods to present historical stories and spread cutural spirits. Secondly, the reseach take "masters" production crew as an basic organizational form of media scoceity to understand its inside structure, especially the position and function of professional consultants. The observation aims to find out how such pattern is influencing TV production and elite culture on mass media of communication.
