Abstract


Background As people rediscover the concept of health, health is no longer simply refers to able-bodied, no disease, physical health, but physical, psychological, social adaptation satisfactory state. People pay more attention to mental health. With the deterioration of ecological environment, natural disasters such as earthquakes, also increased. Disaster stimulus once beyond human endurance, it will lead to a series of symptoms of psychological stress reactions, physical and mental harm to human health. Experiencing unusually threatening or catastrophic events or situations stress disorder after a delay caused by the occurrence or existence of long-term sustainability, known as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Post-disaster psychological symptoms such as occurred without intervention, would cause irreparable impact. Wenchuan earthquake victims in the face of the huge impact on the disaster occurred, as soon as possible to understand the mental health of the victims to understand the earthquake victims may cause psychological distress and even traumatic experiences will help provide targeted psychological relief and psychological support For determining the focus and direction of psychological relief is necessary. Objective To investigate the earthquake victims in the mental health and analyze relevant factors. Witness the earthquake investigation to obtain basic data for scientific analysis of earthquakes and other unexpected natural disasters on people's psychological impact of this effect and what factors were significantly related to confirm post-disaster psychological problems prone groups, specifically occurs in physical, cognitive, emotional, behavioral, etc. What are the dimensions as to whether the victims of psychological intervention and psychological support to provide a scientific basis. Materials and methods in accordance with the principles of cluster sampling to select Mianyang disaster Pingwu South Nanba Town Square tent area affected people two groups as a sample, a total of 309 people, using Taiwan The purposes of the preparation of the \This questionnaire after Sichuan Psychology Mental Health Education Committee, Sichuan University Counseling Research adaptation, including basic information to design and scale investigation of two parts, the reaction against the physical symptoms, cognitive symptoms reaction, the reaction emotional symptoms , a total of four dimensions of behavioral symptoms reactions 42 reactions symptoms occur in different populations to assess the situation. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS13.0 software package, count data using the X2 test. The main results are the victims surveyed 309 primary reaction psychosomatic symptoms appear rate of over 14%; living standards are affected by the disaster, disaster victims living standards significantly decreased. Victims of different age groups changes in the standard of living significantly different (P lt; 0.05). Different age groups of victims physiological, cognitive, emotional, behavioral symptoms were significant differences in response (P lt; 0.05). Victims of different levels of education are different cognitive symptoms responses (P lt; 0.05). Severity of the disaster victims in different cognitive symptoms was significant differences in response (P lt; 0.05). Other aspects of the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusions and Recommendations natural disasters such as earthquakes will have a huge impact on the victims. The basic loss of material and spiritual conditions, is to produce post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) incentives. Young people and children lack the ability to deal with emergencies pressure, and the idea for the catastrophic event is different from adults, are more vulnerable to obsessive-compulsive symptoms, depression, anxiety and other reactions. Population over 30 years old in the physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral symptoms than on serious reaction. Recommendations should establish routine psychological crisis intervention system, as soon as possible after the disaster victims back daily living conditions.
