Abstract

Purpose of preparation of chitosan/tricalcium phosphate composite material, discussing their as the feasibility of the dental pulp tissue engineering scaffold material. Methods chitosan powder soluble in 1% acetic acid solution, mixing evenly, standing deaeration, frozen, crosslinking sodium tripolyphosphate solution, frozen again, made from porous spongy chitosan/tricalcium phosphate composite scaffold materials. Results freeze-drying preparation of porous chitosan/tricalcium phosphate scaffolds average porosity of 85.78%, the highest porosity more than 90%, the pore size in 100-300 microns, the composite scaffold material has good toughness, after when the axial compression deformation quantity more than 5 mm, material still not be destroyed. Cell toxicity test, the results are a level 0. With dental pulp cell composite culture, closely attached with dental pulp cells and extended pseudopodia. Conclusion this experiment through the synthesis of chitosan/tricalcium phosphate composite material, and its related properties are measured, the preliminary discussion on chitosan/tricalcium phosphate composite material has good biocompatibility and cellular affinity and certain mechanical properties, and meet the requirements of basic biological materials.
