Abstract


With the prevalence of the Somali pirates , pirates to the old behavior more and more the concern of the international community in the near future . The face of rising pirate hijacking and ransom request , it is also more and more attention to the terms of the insurance underwriting risk of piracy . Therefore , the terms of the insurance underwriting risk of piracy is very necessary . In this paper, by the introduction, body and conclusion . The introductory part by a comparison of the number of pirate attacks in recent years , the tremendous impact of the analysis of the prevalence of piracy on the shipping industry . Especially pirates change the form of attack , mostly taken hijacking ships for ransom this new way to get benefits . Then put forward in this article is mainly to study the terms of the kinds of insurance underwriting risk of piracy pirate ransom insurance responsibility sharing , comparison and analysis . Introductory thesis route , Review of research within the scope of the existing literature . The first chapter the basic theory and the status quo against piracy , piracy in international public law and insurance law defined piracy and terrorists difference , the common behavior of the pirates and the type of losses and the international community lay the foundation for later pirate ransom and other theoretical analysis piracy response .
