Abstract


Yu Hua, as one of the most influential contemporary Chinese writers, has been an academic research focus since the 1990s. From the point of view "the black humor in YuHua’s novel ",in the beginning part of the article, the author introduced what consists of black humor, how the black humor developed as well as Chinese Black Humor literary. Then she showed us the three development stages of black humor in Yu Hua’s novels:the pioneer experimental period, the producing period in 90s, and the "brothers" era since the new century. With comprehensive comparison and analysis, she presented us how the black humor expressed and how they are different from each other on these various stages in his novels. She also made an in-depth exploration on the black humor’s spiritual connotation and its artistic characteristics in the article. As for the limitation and values black humor have, the author made analysis and summaries on the end part of the article.The article may be able to expand out our vision on YuHua’s novel research.
