Abstract


Since 1980s, in order to introduce foreign capital and absorb advance technology, China has made the strategy of "market for technology". The aim is to improve the domestic technology level and hold the stronger core competitive competence in the international market. Here, technology spillover is a very important process. Measuring the result of spillover, a lot of studies not only domestic but also foreign indicate that the spillover can be positive or negative. Therefore, detailed research and a clear object of study in the study of technology spillovers are very necessary.In this paper, the Sino-Japanese auto joint ventures are the main research objects, and there are two parts, which are qualitative and quantitative analysis. In the part of qualitative analysis, the Japanese parent company factors, the Chinese parent company factors, and Sino-Japanese joint venture equity control, organization control will be analyze to explain how they affect the spillover across the Sino-Japanese joint-venture automobile company specific ways of technology spillover. On the other hand, in the part of quantitative analysis includes spillover empirical analysis of joint ventures with the Chinese automotive industry and spillover empirical analysis of joint ventures in China automobile industry, two levels of technology spillover analysis. Finally, on the basis of analysis of qualitative and quantitative, this paper provides some suggestions and recommendations to promote the positive spillover of joint ventures in automobile industry in China.
