Abstract


The release of the new word of the year for the live record contemporary language vocabulary development of great benefit , objective observation . Ministry of Education since 2006 , issued a total of 784 new words of the year , these words is the social life in the past few years , the emergence of new things , new phenomenon of records . Through the release of the new word of the year , you can allow people to see more clearly the change of the current Chinese vocabulary , may provide for scholars to conduct more in-depth and comprehensive study . In this paper, based on the analysis of collated research status of new words , efforts to explore the linguistic characteristics of the new word of the year , and a deeper understanding of the value of lexicology and sociolinguistics value of annual new words . The annual new words , will not only help us correct grasp of the Chinese language and vocabulary development , do the work of the standardization of the language , and help us to a comprehensive understanding of the development and changes in today 's society . Therefore , the annual new words is a very important job , linguistics, culture, sociology , and other aspects of significance . This paper is divided into five parts . The first chapter of the different periods of the research status of new words and new word of the year , the purpose and significance of this article topic . The second chapter is the interpretation of the purpose and significance of the release behavior of the Ministry of Education annual new words , new terms of annual new words and linguistics contrast , found that the annual new words in the standard choice of words and linguistic similarities and differences of the new words . Chapter investigated from a linguistic point of view the new word of the year to discuss the characteristics of the new word of the year in the voice , semantics , coinage law , found that the new word of the year on the basis of maintaining the inherent characteristics of the Chinese , but also reflects some new features . Chapter IV discusses the the annual new words lexicology significance and sociolinguistics value , and the problems and specification of the new word of the year to make some suggestions . The epilogue to the full , and summarized, and proposed to do a follow-up study of aspects .
