Abstract


After the Cold War, various types of crisis tend to frequent than before. This crisis became the important substitute for violence conflict and war. So the completed crisis management mechanism is the important barrier for the modern nation state, and is an important pattern to protect their own interests. For China, issue always is the major challenge to its national security. Then how to carry out the effective crisis management has practical significance to Chinese peaceful reunification. The author will focus on the cases of the Taiwan Strait crisis in 1995-1996, analyzing the crisis management by Game model under the frame of Game theory.First chapter researches the basic conception for crisis and crisis management. The crisis has the character of threatening, urgency, uncertainty and criticality. The crisis management is the art of solving conflict and achieving the national interests by compulsory and compromise measures.Second chapter elaborates the crisis management under Game structure, and analyses the basic structure of Prisoner’s dilemma Game, Chicken Game and Bluff Game. It point out that the essence of the crisis management is the interaction process of crisis participant. It takes the Prisoner’s dilemma Game as the example to illustrating the general process of crisis management.Third chapter summarizes the process of Taiwan Strait crisis in 1995-1996. It would provide the support to chapter4 and chapter5 as the background material.Forth chapter uses different Game model to analyzing the different stage of Taiwan Strait crisis in 1995-1996. It point out that both American and China according the reaction of the counterpart, constantly revise their own target, asses other’s benefits. Moreover, it studies the character of Taiwan Strait crisis in 1995-1996 and its effect for Sino-US relations.Fifth chapter point out that successful crisis management has extraordinary meaning for the Sino-US relations. Successful crisis management mechanism is the effective way for the peaceful rise of China to.
