Abstract


The South China Sea issue is a sovereignty dispute between China and Southeast Asia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei and other countries around the islands of the Spratly Islands and the division of sovereignty of the territorial waters, continental shelf and exclusive economic zone countries, including territorial and marine planning sector ownership of content. South China Sea dispute originated in the late 1960s and early 1970s, although from the produce has also 40 years of things, but because of its special geographical location and resource advantages, and its long-term engagement of the external forces, making the South China Sea issue has been in state of tension. Although China and neighboring countries on the South China Sea issue repeated consultations, and to reach a consensus on key issues, but the South China Sea dispute has not subsided, \The object of the research for the study of the South China Sea issue, attempting to find a solution from the deep-seated reasons caused the South China Sea dispute. The South China Sea issue is related to China's national security, which consist primarily of trade security and defense security. This article include Introduction, a total of five parts of the content, details are as follows: I. Introduction to the study of topics of significance and the South China Sea issues of domestic and foreign research status, as well as the theory and methods such as a brief summary, the introductory part of the study of the theoretical basis of part . The first part of the investigation and analysis of the origin of the South China Sea and the history of China's maritime sovereignty. The first analyzes the main reason for the South China Sea dispute, three factors discussed reefs vesting of contention, maritime delimitation disputes, competition for resources. Second, from the point of view of the different eras starting to explore the status of the jurisdiction of China in the South China Sea, China is the earliest discovery, development and operation of the countries of the South China Sea islands, the control of the territorial seas as early as the Qin Dynasty period laid the Chinese sea power can be found by analyzing the prototype. The second part of the South China Sea issue discusses the issue of national defense and security.
