Abstract


In recent years, due to the college expansion, higher education has been facing the shortage of resource; meanwhile, "post-80s" and "post-90s" have become the main part of college students, which makes the college students’ education management to face severe tests. In this context, in order to ensure the quality of college students under the condition of the relative shortage of resources, we must arouse their study motivation, stimulate their aspiration to become all-round talents through motivational techniques. Only in this way can we meet students’ individual development requests as well as achieve higher education objective to cultivate talents for national construction.Based on classic motivation theories around the world, focusing on the motivational mechanism of the college students, by questionnaire and interview, with practical work, this thesis understands and analyses the prominent problems in the motivational mechanism, and by comprehensive motivation theory frame put forward countermeasure to optimize the motivational mechanism. First, build a global incentive mechanism around students. Second, construct a "encouragement by others", "self-reinforcement" and "mutual encouragement" motivational mechanism. Third, construct a motivational mechanism combined various incentive measures.The main innovations of this thesis are:1. Take Southwest Jiaotong University as an example. Through in-depth investigations, this thesis understands and analyses prominent problems and roots of the college students motivational mechanism.2. Apply comprehensive motivation theory to the study of college students’motivational mechanism; expand the scope of application of this thesis.3. Combining classic motivational mechanisms around the world, this thesis puts forward guiding principles and countermeasures and suggestions.
