Purpose: The purpose of this study was to test Xu Gong's Mental Health Scale reliability and validity of university students in Hunan. Methods: In Changsha, Yueyang, Hunan Province, Jishou, the Shaoyang four regions selected four of the colleges, Hunan Normal University, Hunan Institute of Science and Technology Nanhu College, Jishou University, Shaoyang Vocational and Technical College. Extraction, second and third year students in four schools, a total of 619 people as the measured object 582 valid questionnaires, a response rate of 94%. 201 boys and 381 girls; Arts 315, science 267. Cronbach alpha coefficient and split-half reliability, the validity of the test the scale reliability test-retest reliability, the select construct validity and criterion validity test scale. Results: (1) subtest Cronbach a coefficient of 0.339-0.852, which is happiness, impulsive irritability, suspicion, friendship and trust, low self-esteem, psychological shift, self-control and self-confidence Cronbach alpha coefficient gt; 0.70. Subscale of psychological problems and obstacles, positive emotions and health and cognitive concern alpha coefficients were 0.816,0.644 and 0.588. The full scale alpha coefficient of 0.688. Subtests split-half reliability 0.421-0.901, including happiness, impulsive irritability, suspicion, friendship and trust, low self-esteem, psychological shift, self-control and self-confidence of the split-half reliability coefficients gt; 0.70. Subscale split-half reliability coefficients were 0.816,0.642 and 0.558; half of the full scale reliability coefficient was 0.732. The test-retest reliability of the subtests 0.220-0.821; subscales were 0.981,0.662 and 0.693; full-scale test-retest reliability coefficient of 0.701. The correlation coefficient between the (2) subtests project 0.011-0.548 correlation coefficient between the subscale and full-scale projects were 0.77,0.32 and 0.74. Conclusions: (1) Xu Gong's Mental Health Scale in Hunan college students with good homogeneity reliability. (2) Xu Gong's Mental Health Scale in Hunan university students has good construct validity and empirical validity. (3) Xu Gong's Mental Health Scale in Hunan university students in gender, grade, school, professional presence of significant differences.
