Since reform and opening, China implemented a non-equilibrium regional development strategy and tilted policies to the east region, which have greatly emancipated productivity in China, made China’s sustained rapid economic development, improved people’s living standards, increased steadily the overall national strength. however , gaps between China’s regions and between urban and rural areas are widening, leading a unbalanced regional development and influencing the development of the economy and society. In addition, the blind pursuit of GDP in China and little attention on protection of the environment make the depletion of our resources, environmental degradation, the deepening conflict between man and nature. To solve the regional disparities and serious destruction of environmental resources, our country proposed regional coordinated development, aiming at reducing regional disparity and promoting harmony development between economy, soctiy and environment. Proposing regional coordinated development also conforms to economic globalization and regional economic integration, which is the requirements of a stable, healthy and efficient national economy. It has an important meaning on maintaining political and social stability in the central part and west, and on promoting nations’unity and security of border.In this paper, I use quantitative and qualitative analysis method to evaluate and study our country’s regional coordinated development. I study the problem of country’s regional coordinated development in and between 31 provinces in China. According to paper’s content and purpose, I build a coordinated index system of regional development in China. According different problem in regions and interregions, different methods of analysis were adopted. In study of regiona coordination, I use system theory and principal component analysis to study economy,socity,and environment, which obtains a composite score of regional economy, society, environment. I also use of coordination development index formula to divide 31 regions into well coordination, common coordination, bad coordination, very bad coordination. I evaluate the characteristics of each regions based on this four kinds regions. For interregional coordination, principal component analysis is used, which obtained composite score of regional economy, society from 2000 to 2009 , and environment from 2005 to 2009 and (ESE) score is finally obtained using the method of weighting local disparity, which is based on composite scores. What’s more, I calculates standard deviation of economy, society, environment and evaluates the relationship between China’s regions and give my suggestion. With the study of coordination in regions regional coordination and Interregional Coordination,my paper has a clear understanding and grasp of current status and trends of coordination of provinces’coordination.
