Objective: The purpose of this experiment is that the detection experiments during orthodontic tooth movement , periodontal tissue expression of tumor necrosis factor -α (tumor necrosis factor-α, TNF-α) , and explore the orthodontic tooth movement and TNF-α . expression. Methods: A 18 - week - old male SD rats , weighing 180- 220g , were randomly divided into six groups , each group of three . Based on the the orthodontic classic referral cycle , these six groups were set up for one day , three days , five days group 7 days 14 days 21 days . Orthodontic tooth movement model in rat oral cavity , left maxillary arch for the experimental side , the right side of the control side . The experiments side of rat maxillary incisor the the anchorage tooth , with nickel- titanium Lahuang 40g force pull maxillary first molar to the mesial . 1,3,5,7,14,21 days in the experiment , the rats were sacrificed and histological HE staining using immunohistochemical SABC assay TNF-α level changes , and immunohistochemical results for gray matter analysis . Results: TNF-α levels in the bone remodeling process of orthodontic tooth movement was increased and then decreased with increasing time trend . Occasionally in normal rat periodontal tissue expression of TNF-α , negative control group, no expression of TNF-α . Experimental side , the expression of TNF-α in the afterburner five days to reach the peak , 21 days close to the level of the normal control group . Conclusion: periodontal tissue , TNF-α is mainly expressed in osteoclasts . The occurrence of bone resorption in the formation of osteoclast differentiation and bone remodeling process is closely related to bone resorption caused cells . TNF-α is an important factor for the regulation of osteoclast formation and differentiation play an important role in orthodontic tooth movement .
