Abstract


AIMTo investigate the relation between the change of serum Complete factor H (CFH) level and other laboratory indexes by detecting serum CFH level from patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) and explore the role of CFH in SLE.METHODSThe level of serum CFH from 37 SLE patients diagnosed according to 1982 ACR diagnostic criteria for SLE and 30 healthy persons were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)respectively.Meanwhile, other laboratory indexes were detected and the relation between the change of serum CFH level and other indexes were analyzed.RESULTSThe level of serum CFH in patients with SLE(332.96±135.27ng/ml) was obviously lower than that in healthy control(414.81±72.79ng/ml)(P<0.05).The levels of serum CFH in SLE patients showed positive correlation with C3 level(r=0.518, P<0.001) and showed negtive correlation with ds-DNA, urine albumin and SLEDAI activity integra (r=-0.425, P<0.05; r=-0.472, P＜0.05; r=-0.369, P<0.05)。ConclusionComplete factor H deficiency may be involved in the pathogenesis of SLE, espacially in the kidney impairment,and contributes to the hypocomple--mentemia.In addition,it can also reflect the degree of SLE activity to a certain extent.
