Abstract


Objective: craniofacial skeletal mandible is an important component of its related surgery in a large proportion of maxillofacial surgery . Mandibular surgery , jaw tubes are the most important part , because it has the inferior alveolar nerve and blood vessels pass. Mandibular inferior alveolar surgery vulnerable to damage nerves and blood vessels , often resulting in more serious complications. In this study, the use of spiral CT three-dimensional reconstruction of the mandible , the use of three-dimensional reconstruction and measurement workstation mandible mandibular canal measuring the distance between the study of mandibular canal walk the line position and its adjacent relationship for the provision of related clinical surgery mandible mandibular canal anatomy its data support . Methods : Pick 38 volunteers were Han , 19 were men and women , aged 26-32 years old. Handsome, no facial deformity , no surgical history . Each volunteer the use of spiral CT for continuous cross-sectional scans of the head and neck , after scanning the original data input GE ADW4.3 computer workstation for three-dimensional reconstruction, reconstruction of the mandible in the image area to be measured to determine the corresponding sagittal measuring surface and the coronal plane to the mandibular buccal bone plate tube distance mandibular canal to lingual plate distance, mandibular canal to the lower edge of the mandible from the mandibular alveolar edge distance away . Measured data using statistical software SPSS 11.5 processing, analysis of the Traveling mandibular canal and its surrounding relative position . Results: 38 cases observed object slice CT scan of the head clear, three-dimensional reconstructed image quality. Mandibular canal position in each area measured data show : the mandibular canal along the tongue side of the general strike before the trip, in the second and third molars basically walk the line parallel to the lower edge of the mandible in the first molar, second premolar region tend buccal buccal bone plate along the front row and in the second premolar plane of the mental foramen . Conclusion: Spiral CT scanning head can realize three-dimensional reconstruction of the mandible can be clearly shown mandible morphology and cancellous bone and bone plates , revealing mandibular canal location, shape , course and relationship with the surrounding tissue adjacent to , the three-dimensional reconstruction of measurement workstations available mandibular canal to the buccal bone plate , lingual plate , mandibular alveolar margin of the exact distance . The results may provide relevant data to support clinical surgery , can effectively prevent intraoperative inferior alveolar nerve and blood vessel damage.
