Personality study of on Insomnia in a Comprehensive Hospital ObjectThe objective of this study was to study the Personality of insomnia and the Correlation between Personality and insomnia in a comprehensive hospital in China.MethodWe adopted MMPI computer testing software to measure out patients, who were randomly divided into two groups according to psychology clue, including 1654 insomnia group and 1659 non-insomnia group in the comprehensive hospital from July 2006 to March 2010. And analyze it by Independent sample T test and Linear regression analysis.Result1. the occurrence rate of depression personality in insomnia group was 54.9%. the occurrence rate of anxiety personality in insomnia group was 67.4%.2. The marks of hypochondriasis, HY-0, MAS, D-0, depression, D1, psychasthenia, TSC2, anxiety, hysteria, TSC4, schizophrenia, DEP, psychopathic deviate, Socialintroversion, TSC1, PA-0, Paranoia, Anxiety-reflect, Hypomania, PA-S, self-strength,HY-S and HY1 between the two groups were significantly different (P<0.001).3. Insomnia was positively related to hypochondriasis,HY-0, MAS, D-0, depression, D1, psychasthenia, TSC2, anxiety, hysteria, TSC4, schizophrenia, DEP, psychopathic deviate, Socialintroversion, TSC1, PA-0, Paranoia, Anxiety-reflect, Hypomania and PA-S. Insomnia was negatively related to self-strength, HY-S and HY1.Conclusions1. The Personality of hypochondriasis, HY-0,MAS, D-0, depression, D1, psychasthenia, TSC2, anxiety, hysteria, TSC4, schizophrenia, DEP, psychopathic deviate, Socialintroversion, TSC1, PA-0, Paranoia, Anxiety-reflect, Hypomania, PA-S and decreased self-strength is the most common pathogenesis basis of insomnia.2. When confronting patients with insomnia, doctors must pay attention identifying any psychological discorders including depression and anxiety in the patients,and psychological support should also be strengthened to such patients.
