Abstract

With the social progress and development of the times, the form of book design constantly changes, and other art forms in the fusion and mutual influence in the technology, culture, market to such factors, ideas and language of our books design are in to the rapid changes, showing a new era look. The study of status of Chinese book design is an important way for book design is up to theory from practice, and it is bound to have important significance for reference and guidance for the development of book design in China.In the process of this paper’s arguing, combining the current book publishing and new trends in cultural policy, from the comprehensive perspective of sociology, communication studies, art aesthetics and technical aesthetics ,applying to a few research methods such as literature carding, the phenomenon described, classified and comparison of analysis and so on,and analysis the new language features and new trends of book design ideas, and try to tease out the factors to be learned in order to serve the present and the future of the book design.Paper is divided into six parts:Chapter I: Introduction. Article described the research object, background and significance; literature review related to thesis topics and innovation of this paper; research methods and thesis framework.Chapter II: Present Status of book design in China. Respectively, from three aspects: the concept of "Book design", the current main features of our book design, and various manifestations .Chapter III: Situation analysis of book design in China. From five to do in-depth inquiry: the spread of text effects, the aesthetic interest from overall design, fashionable book design,and the innovation sense of innovation performance in language .Chapter Four: Problems in our book design. Designers and in-depth content from two of. Designer: insufficient attention for the design of Chinese characters meaning; slow response on readership refinement; design performance of the overall quality to be improved; on the design sense of responsibility not pay enough attention. At a deeper level, culture and the market, the contradiction between local and international reconciliation is still lacking.Chapter Five: Proposal in view of the status of book design. Problems closely its own proposals.In the designer area: To return to the national consciousness, deepen the connotation of Chinese characters design; keep up with the times, books designed to strengthen the personality characteristics; comprehensively improve the professionalism and public responsibility. At a deeper level: to support the sale links of books with the cultural identity of books, to develope book design business with a more open attitude.Chapter VI: Conclusion. the status quo of our book design is " let a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend ", and its future development has two trends: First, the level of technology to promote the fission of book design in inheritance. Second, the development of a harmonious society promote the personalized and branded process of book design.This article incorporates the latest theories of our current book design,and to do a periodic summary for practice result at this stage. And on this basis, excavating influencing factors of innovative book design, proposed shortcomings of our design books and books for the current design of our shortcomings made more feasible countermeasures and suggestions.
