Abstract


The musical history of modern China wrote by Mr. WangYuhe is one important works in modern history. Its embryonic form, publication, the process of revision, occurred at different historical periods, since the objective and subjective factors, this process between different versions have differences. Through comparative study the different versions and to learn their historical value and historical limitation have a definite meaning to the research about the history of music.The body of this article composed of "writing background of music history of modern China", "the embryo, publication, the revision process of the musical history of modern China by WangYuhe", "the musical history of modern China and the rewriting of musical history".The first section is research writing background of The musical history of modern China. This writing background includes times, social background, personal background three detailed carding and then to know the factors on writing of Mr. Wang.The second part is study the embryo, publication, the revision process of the musical history of modern China. The writing of five versions happened in 50 years, and that 50 years is during the transitional period for thought of Chinese society, thus affecting the historical selection of the five versions; on the other hand, there are many causes for the different versions.The third part is the musical history of modern China and the rewriting of musical history. Mainly give the works a further study of the writing process and combine the discussion of rewriting of musical history to try to learn the works more deeply.At last, to analyses the values and limitations of this works and make a more objective valuation.
