The steep mountain Tuo Formation deposition in the Neoproterozoic snowball event after the first set of stratigraphic record this important turning point of the environment and biological evolution. Southern China Yangtze platform Doushantuo early in carbonate rocks, and the upper part of the black shale sedimentary sequence. Selected five cross-section of the different sedimentary facies Fe isotopic studies of the the platform facies small peak river, Kowloon Bay and Ling profile, slope facies the Sidu Ping section, and deep-sea basin facies the Huaihua Yuanjiazao section. Iron isotope and elemental geochemistry of carbonate rocks and black shales, mainly to obtain the following results and knowledge: 1, Kowloon Bay area is in shallow water depositional environment of the oxidation state, with the dissolution of glaciers, sea The plane gradually increased depositional environment into weak oxidation, reflecting the changes in the environment of the ancient marine water body after the end of the snowball incident. Sidu floor area has been in relatively deep water of the system, the sedimentary environment to restore the environment. 2, for the first time in the Doushantuo Formation carbonate rocks and black shales Fe isotope data. The black shale Fe isotopic variation range δ56Fe = -0.26-0.69 ‰, an average of 0.24 per thousand. Fe isotopic variation range of carbonate rocks δ56Fe = -0.67 ~ 0.07 ‰, and the mean value of -0.34% o. Analysis of black shale samples show enrichment of heavy isotopes relative to the standard material IRMM-014 (in addition to the Huaihua Yuanjiazao black shale), and carbonate samples enriched in light isotopes. 3, the Fe isotope of carbonate samples in different sedimentary and white there are differences, the same deposition phase, there are differences. This indicates that the iron isotopes in seawater spatial heterogeneity, by iron sources and depositional environment. Fe isotope studies on the the cap dolomites and black shales of the the Sidu Ping profile interlayer limestone, no significant evolution in the study period, ocean iron isotope composition. 4, compared with the cap carbonates, Kowloon Bay, small peaks River, Ridge, four Ping profile black shales are enriched in heavy isotopes of Fe, that black shale from seawater iron in Fe3 the form of oxide or hydroxide is precipitated. Combination of trace elements that reflect information: Kowloon Bay profile in the a weakly oxidized sedimentary environment, the Sidu floor section is weak reducing environment. Huaihua the Yuans profile black shale Fe isotope and the cap carbonates consistent, implying that the section in the form of ferrous sulfide precipitation from seawater iron, and the profile is formed in a strongly reducing environment Jinghai the phase (Euxinic),. This indicates that the ocean is stratified, but early Doushantuo ocean redox interface should be located in Kowloon Bay in which the platform and four are floor which the depth of the continental slope. Infer in Early Doushantuoan, from the platform facies, the slope to the deep basin phase seawater gradually from surface oxidized to the reduced state deep into.
