Abstract


Han Shaogong is a writer that he is difficult to depict, the style of his works is varied.In the very beginning ,he is an "educated youth writer" , and silence after some time ,he lifts the banner of "Roots Literature". In 1990s, he is called "New Left" because of large Essay.His exploration of the works never stop .He challenges himself and transcends himself constantly. But looking at Han Shaogong’s works after he puts forward the "roots Declaration", on the concerned subject, it is not difficult to discover the clue which continues, that is, writing on the Chu culture.In a series of "Root novels" of Han Shaogong and his long cross-style works Ma Dictionary , Shannan Water North, the Chu culture that is summarized as strange and beautiful, mysterious, wild, humor, broad and deep" by Han Shaogong, soaked in his works. Chu culture makes Han Shaogong’s novel glittering . Han Shaogong excavates Chu culture that deeps in the folk,and combines it with modern civilization.The Papers begins from the effects of the complex state of mind of Han Shaogong about traditional culture and folk culture on his works . It is to example "Roots novel”of Han Shaogong in the mid-eighties and early nineties and the lengthy cross-style book Ma Dictionary and the Shannan Water North.It tries to find out "Chu culture" context through longitudinal analysis on the works of Han Shaogong in different times , different style of writing , to tease out the clue as clear as possible on the Han Shaogong’s change of attitude on "Chu culture" over time, and to find out the effects on Han Shaogong’s works for this change of attitude.
