Abstract

Referred ATR) technology based on synthetic aperture radar (Synthetic Aperture Radar, referred SAR) automatic target recognition (Automatic Target Recogn has very important applications in military and civilian fields , has become a hot research topic at home and abroad . Feature extraction as a key issue in the SAR ATR , its main task is to sample the high-dimensional space are mapped to low-dimensional feature space , and the most effective feature extracted from many sample characteristics . In this thesis, in-depth study SAR ATR feature extraction method based on the projection space . A linear optimal projection space method for configured with the target maximum similarity with heterogeneous target strictly orthogonal projection space , the maximum extent to eliminate the similarity of the different target values ??of the space , increasing the heterogeneous target indexable . Hyperspherical projection space based feature extraction methods based on the analysis of the the azimuth SAR Target distribution relationship hyperspherical projection the SAR sample of the full range of distribution characteristics , and thus eliminate the azimuth SAR target recognition . In this paper, jointly developed by the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory motion and stationary target acquisition and identification project (Moving and Stationary Target Acquisition and Recognition, referred to as MSTAR ) measured data of the two methods validation and performance analysis of the experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method .
