Abstract

Objective to investigate the ultraviolet (uv) on in vitro cultured rat lens ubiquitin mRNA and mRNA expression of ubiquitin activating enzyme. Method the real-time fluorescent quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction method (reversetranscription - polymerase chain reaction, RT - PCR) detection of uv irradiation after 1 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, 48 h of the lens ubiquitin mRNA and ubiquitin activating enzyme mRNA expression level. Results after the ultraviolet irradiation ubiquitin mRNA and ubiquitin activating enzyme mRNA expression level decreased, 1 h after irradiation its expression level minimum, 24 h after irradiation, ubiquitin mRNA and mRNA expression of ubiquitin activating enzymes have different degrees of recovery, 48 h after irradiation, the mRNA expression level basic recovery, there was no significant difference compared with control group. Conclusion ultraviolet rays can through reduce rat lens ubiquitin gene and ubiquitin activating enzyme gene expression and inhibiting ubiquitin proteasome pathway activity of crystal protein degradation.
