Objective: To evaluate the posterior decompression , interbody fusion and pedicle screw fixation in the treatment of degenerative lumbar scoliosis surgical methods and clinical effect . Methods: A retrospective analysis of hospital the posterior surgery from June 2004 to April 2008 , the treatment of the clinical data of 17 cases of patients with degenerative lumbar scoliosis . Results : 17 patients underwent posterior surgical treatment , mean follow-up of 1.7 years , low back pain , radiculopathy symptoms of intermittent claudication , Zhi Yao difficulties eased significantly by the average 19o correction preoperative to postoperative Cobb angle average 8o, the average correction 11o, the correction rate was 57.9% . The lumbar lordosis get recovery to some extent , no screws loose , broken nails, broken rods , bone graft growth satisfaction . Conclusion : degenerative lumbar scoliosis has gradually become an important impact the quality of life of older persons lumbar degenerative diseases , treatment is divided into non-surgical treatment and surgical treatment . The principles and the main purpose of surgical treatment is to relieve symptoms and to stabilize the spine , restore balance , followed by orthopedic . Posterior decompression , interbody fusion and pedicle screw fixation is an effective method for the treatment of degenerative lumbar scoliosis .
