The short-term impact of Objective To study the high-dose dexamethasone treatment of adult idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, ITP) , efficacy and safety . Methods 49 patients of which 21 patients with a high dose of dexamethasone 40mg / day x 4 days, 28 cases as the control of low dose dexamethasone 10-15mg / day × 4 days . Detect blood twice a week during treatment , out-patient follow-up after the end of treatment as a weekly blood test . Observed for 3 months . The results of high-dose dexamethasone treatment group and a small dose of dexamethasone overall response rate of the control group were 73.7% , 54.2% , ( P gt ; 0.05 ) , in significant efficiency comparison treatment group was 31.6% ( 6 / 19 ) control group and 12.5% ??( 3 / 24 ) , the two groups have a significant difference ( P lt; 0.05 ) . Platelet - peak time compared high-dose group , 6.75 ± 2.447 days in the control group , 9.95 ± 5.967 (P lt; 0.05). Two Vice reaction was no significant difference (P gt; 0.05). Conclusion The high-dose dexamethasone is used for the treatment of ITP can be faster platelet count improved, and can maintain a fairly long period of time , fewer adverse reactions , patients tend to accept , is expected as the preferred measure of ITP therapies .
