Desertification is today the world's most serious environmental and socio-economic problems. According to information released by the United Nations , there are currently more than 110 countries worldwide and 10 million people threatened by desertification , of which 135 million people facing the risk of displacement . How to Combat Desertification, the entire human environment threat , has become a common topic of world attention . In this paper, desertified areas of governance work carried out related research . 1 Select the Ethiopian highlands as the research object to Hadnet Basin , a detailed investigation of the area's natural and social conditions , come to the ecological destruction , desertification by local harsh climatic conditions , human destruction of vegetation and unreasonable agricultural farming and overgrazing indiscriminate firewood and other factors lead to the conclusion . Adverse weather conditions which resulted in the area is a major factor in ecological damage , modern human activities accelerate the process of ecological damage . (2) on the desktop land, half-moon soil preparation , soil preparation and shipping inverted rectangular-shaped trench preparation four kinds of soil preparation techniques harvesting forestry ecological restoration measures were changes in soil moisture during the dry season follow-up study , results showed that the ship trench preparation method stage throughout the dry season can maintain higher soil moisture . Water storage ponds for water and soil conservation works were studied for water storage pond conservation project conducted a survey , the results indicate that these measures can save water and soil conservation projects in order to meet a certain amount of water in the basin of the various water needs during the dry season . Experimental results show that the area can be restored vegetation , desertification trends can be reversed , you can create a good ecological environment , agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry output value can increase , food insecurity can be overcome, local farmers can fundamentally change the situation of poverty and backwardness .
