Abstract


This paper uses the method of document analysis and field investigation. This paper discusses Longli county’s Miao medicine industry of Guizhou province from the perspective of culture and sci-tech. The author briefly reviews the origin and development course of Miao medicine, analysisises the function of culture and sci-tech in Longli county’s Miao medicine industry of Guizhou province. The author discusses in-depth the relationship between Miao medicine culture, modern science and Miao medicine industry: Miao medicine culture is the foundation of the development of Miao medicine industry, modern science and technology is the key of the development of Miao medicine industry. The author also analysises the development advantages and existing problems of Miao medicine industry in Longli. Combining the theory of ecological culture and sustainable development, the author gives some advice to the development of Miao medicine industry mainly from the perspective of culture and sci-tech: let Miao medicine culture plays a full supporting role to Miao medicine industry, strengthen the pulling effect of science and technology to Miao medicine industry. At last, it is the author’s hope to make suggestions for the sustainable development of Longli Miao medicine industry, hoping this paper can use as some reference for the gentilitial medicine development in other areas.
