Abstract


“People are taken as the foundation of the nation, food is what matters to the people, and safety is most important for food.”Food is the material basis for man’s existence and development, while food safety is tightly related to the national economy and the people’s livelihood. In recent years, events caused by unsafe food frequently take place especially in country. Problem arose from food safety is more serious in country, which has being threaten the life and belongings of common people. What’s more, it would touch the nation’s stability and government’s management, and badly hold back the process of building the socialist new countryside and of bringing moderate prosperity to China in a well-rounded way, which is the urgent business to be tackled with for government.The supervision of rural food safety is difficult but important for our country. And there are lots of leaks in the supervision of government from my investigation and research, such as supervision chaos and dislocation, imperfection of system of law and code for food safety, lack of culture of faithfulness for food safety. Aiming at the extremely unsubstantial supervision, the weakness of supervision on rural food safety of our country is analyzed in the paper from the view of public management theory. And approaches and measures for improving the supervision are studied aiming at the existing issues about rural food safety with the typical case of bad powdered milk of Fu yang in Anhui.At the same time, it’s a complicated all-around work for government to supervise rural food safety, and supervision is used to be ineffective in implementation. Accordingly, there are many uncertain factors in practical manipulation and some ideas and suggestions are just in reality.
