Abstract

This thesis reviewed traditional Chinese medicine compounds, sources and chemical constituents, and pharmacological activities of the traditional medicine,Pogostemon cablin Benth. On basis of the advances,we further study on the chemical constituents and their pharmacological activities of involatility moiety of Pogostemon cablin Benth. This thesis elaborated chemical constituents of Pogostemon cablin(Blanco) Benth. and bioassay on some extracts and partial compounds isolated.By variety of chromatographies over various materials,twenty-one compounds were isolated, which covered flavones, flavone glycosides, phenylpropanoid glycosides, steroids and triterpenoid.Their structures were elucidated major on the basis of spectroscopic methods.Three of them(compounds 14,19,and 24) were isolate from the Pogostemon genus for the first time, and nine of them(compounds 1,5,6,7,8,9,11,15,18,and 20) were isolated from the plant P.cablin Benth.for the first time.Furthermore, the activities on antibacterial,α-D-glucoside glucohydrolase inhibitor and antitumor of some compounds were tested. As a result, compound 10 exhibited thin inhibition aganist Bacillus subtilis,Escherichia coli, and Salmonella typhi. The activities onα-D-glucoside glucohydrolase inhibitor and antitumor is negative. And the antioxidant bioactivity of three phenylpropanoid glycosides(compounds 14,19,and 24) are being tested.
