Abstract


Comparing with Han Dynasty, economy, politics and culture of Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty have changed deeply. At that moment, because of tenebrous politics, continuous war and desolate economy, more and more people begin to feel suspicious about Confucianism which is advocated a lot in Han Dynasty and has loyalty and filial piety as its core.People of different dynasties have almost the same confusion. But during Wei and Jin Dynasty, natural and man-made disasters happens continuously, livelihood and anima are much more changeable. All of these make lives of people more confused and tragic. Cruel situation forces people to choose different ways to handle life. The result is different diversities of life. Some are positive, some are negative, some are decadent, and some are illusory. Some are self chosen while most are forced to do that.During the thinking towards the confused life, thinkers of Wei and Jin Dynasty began their moral pursuit on theory and try to give out different proposals to solve all the confusion. Moral pursuit at that moment has a strong philosophy flavor. The main line is the relationship between nature and religion. Corresponding to the theme of moral pursuit,“Spread morality and kindness”of Taoism has the trend of coordinating Confucianism, nature and religions. Buddhism of Wei and Jin Dynasty has also tried to correspond the relationship of Buddhism and different religions. Furthermore, there appear some writings represented by <Lie Zi. Yang Zhu> to defend the theory of indulging desires and they try to use another way to deal with the relationship between natural desire and moral rules which shows the exuberance of moral pursuit at that moment. The moral pursuit of thinkers of Wei and Jin Dynasty though hasn’t solved the confusion even more it deepens the confusions, it is still the result of thinking life and moral problems and also it has an inspiring significance for us to set up nowadays opinion towards life.
