Abstract

Virginia Woolf (1882-1941) was an experiment of the 20th century novelist, critic and essayist. She is considered to be one of the major modernist writers, its major achievements in the the its innovative novel techniques, which no one can deny. Woolf after the death of the first three decades, critics have always thought that she just focused on the creation of their own spiritual world of the ivory tower. Since the 1980s, with the emergence of Woolf large number of unpublished works, her life and work in the social and political factors knowledge and understanding. Virginia Woolf's famous novel \Introduced Dalloway Mrs. day life, it vividly describes the state of British life after the end of the First World War, especially the high life. This book reveals the drawbacks of the British Empire, and the performance of the lower people's sympathy. In fact, \Thus, the novel and imperialist politics are closely related. This paper analyzed from the point of view of the post-colonial novel, includes six main parts, including four chapters, as well as the introduction and conclusion. The first chapter briefly describes the post-colonial theory, including Edward Said's \Said's Orientalism directly point to the Western Empire. We can clearly see that criticized his insight on the East and West inequalities of power politics and cultural hegemony. In his book \Spivak's postcolonial criticism is to expose the powers of the colonialism and male-centered discourse obscured and distorted image of women in the Third World. This chapter is the theoretical basis of this paper. The second chapter by analyzing the superiority and Western imperialism under the watchful eyes of the image of women in India to explore the relationship between the British Empire and its colonies. Pitt, Lady Bruton represented the British-born cultural superiority to make them think their own civilization than the Indians, so they always think as it should control the destiny of India. The next chapter explores the fate of the Daisy-represented Indian women. They are subject to the double oppression of patriarchy and imperialism that has no right to speak for themselves reduced to a fictional image powerful imperialist foil. Chapter expose the oppressive nature of imperialism through analysis patriarchal society women's oppression and war hazards. Both of which are the product of imperialism, and thus reflects the imperialist nature of oppression and aggression. By analyzing the image of the wife Clarissa, Septimus and Mrs. Bradshaw, this chapter discusses the patriarchal oppression of women. By Septimus crazy to expose the dangers of the imperialist war. Chapter by analyzing imperialism several representative - Pitt, Lady Bruton and Miss Parry aging and failure, and then analyzes the Empire internal and external crisis, accordingly predicted empire disillusion. This chapter by Pitt failure analysis of the bad situation of the British Government in India, by the representative of the aging old order to expose the decline of the empire. In short, \This paper attempts to analyze the novel from a postcolonial perspective to domestic Woolf provides a new way of reading.
