Abstract

Alfred Tennyson (1809-1892) is one of the most important poets of the Victorian era, and its famous elegy \His poetry is widely circulated and received extensive attention. Tennyson was a prolific poet, and their creative themes related to almost all aspects of Victorian life. Tennyson poems are most concerned about is the exploration of faith, moral and social. At different times on different philosophical questions pondering reflect the poet's ideological evolution, which just poetry with the poet select different narrative techniques consistent. Therefore, from the point of view of narrative techniques in three major poetry of Tennyson explore the ideological evolution of the poet, discusses divided into the following five sections: the first chapter is an introductory section, a brief introduction of Tennyson's life and simple overview Tennyson's research status, key issues to be resolved, this dissertation research methods and their innovations. The second chapter of Tennyson's masterpiece \This elegy record the poet lost a close friend Arthur Hallam after despair, to suspect, to restore hope, to the final firm believer feelings and thinking evolution. In this collection of poems, the various exchanges between the poet and different listeners (ie the poet's inner monologue and the \also reveals the theme of poetry: poet regain life, faith and confidence in the eternal.
