Abstract


The Historic Building "Xiao Bai Lou" which in Shanghai Baoshan District now is one of the few modern buildings of Wusong District. People didn’t realize its value because it has been in the navy’s harbor for years. The thesis did research on the special case in this Building, from three aspects which are the historical environment, the character and evolvement and the countermeasures of the conservation and regeneration. Proving up its status and heritage value and prospecting for the possibilities of regeneration on the basis of circumstances, it searched for a new way to resolve the questions of the Historic Buildings which left over by history.
