Abstract


The current rapid economic growth has created favorable conditions for the development of shipping industry. Possessing an obvious advantage, container transportation at sea has become a main way of maritime transportation and grows rapidly. The market demand of containerized transport is increasing constantly; the maximization trend of the container ship is obvious.To analysis the maximization trend of the container ship and the direction development for the future. By Setting up mathematics model it shows the large-scale container ship economy and diseconomy for size; and specialize many influential restrict factors for larger container ship; then it explains the structure type of the regular ship line in detail. Traits of shipping lines setting and principles to follow are also analyzed, as well as the principle of arranging larger ship by longer course.To follow with the maximization trend of the container ship, in order to an economic scope of fleet and route, Hub will be their outstanding characteristic. A statement of the development for the status and trend of the container hub port, after gathering lots of data of ports, Analyse all the factor which affect the hub port engendered. And base on the Fuzzy Comprehesive Evaluation method and combine with example it shows the feasible to choose Shanghai as a container hub port.Combining economical and technical analysis, this thesis put container ships in liner shipping lines, and integrates shipping lines with hub ports as a whole network, then constructs two separate models by optimization shipping costs as well as profits and furthermore does a case study. Finally, works out the minimal cost of scheme for larger ship running course.
