Abstract

Although ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber that is our first realize the industrialization of high-performance fiber, but domestic UHMWPE fiber preparation there are still major technical problems, domestic raw performance and imported raw materials there is still a gap, therefore UHMWPE dependence on imported fiber enterprises raw materials; Second, the production process, but off a big gap between the fiber indicators and imported products. In recent years, due to the breakdown of the market, the foreign users of other performance beyond traditional indicators such as strength, modulus proposed the demanding requirements of indicators, including the creep resistance of the fiber used for ropes. Therefore, the strengthening of the comparative study of domestic and imported raw materials and fiber creep resistance has theoretical and practical value. The present study used three different domestic and international UHMWPE raw materials, the use of gel-spinning process, the twin-screw extruder prepared frozen collagen fiber made from UHMWPE fibers, after extraction is dried, after the heat drawing. Using Mastersizer2000 particle size analyzer, and differential scanning calorimetry instrument (DSC), Instron5969 material universal testing machines and other instruments for the analysis of the performance of different raw materials and its fiber test. The results show that: the raw material particle size, molecular weight, etc. of its dissolution process has a certain influence; the gel spinning process, the degradation of the imported raw materials in the high temperature conditions is significantly higher than the domestic raw materials, the relative molecular weight decreased occurs; raw materials occur due to the spinning process. different degrees of degradation of the mechanical properties of the three fibers there are significant differences. Under the conditions of this study, domestic raw materials resulting fiber strength, modulus and creep resistance superior to imported raw materials. In order to improve the creep resistance of UHMWPE fiber, this study attempts to UV radiation crosslinking method to improve their creep resistance. Were selected crosslinking modification of the different stages of production of UHMWPE fiber UV radiation, and to explore factors such as fiber soaked in n-heptane time, crosslinker (TMPTA) concentration and UV irradiation time crosslinked effect, and the application of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analyzer (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Instron5969 universal testing machines and other instruments test analysis of the structure and properties of the fibers before and after modification. The results show that: 48h UHMWPE fiber optimum soaking time in n-heptane; 6min UV the best irradiation modified time; compared with the spun fiber and finished fiber gel fibers in the same modified under the conditions most prone to cross-linking reaction; breaking strength and elongation at break decreased slightly modified crosslinked UHMWPE fibers, has improved elastic modulus and creep resistance, and the fiber surface morphology is also a certain change occurred.
