Hydrophobically associating polymers with ideal temperature resistance, salt resistance , shear resistance , chemical flooding oil future development direction and mainstream . Hydrophobically associating water-soluble polymer in order to obtain a high molecular weight , high yield , low cost , easy to industrial production , by means of radiation grafting technique PAM hydrophobically modified , the introduction of a small amount of hydrophobic groups on PAM main chain and synthetic hydrophobic polyacrylamide . The characterization of the pre-irradiation graft copolymerization and total radiation graft copolymerization of the two methods in the the PAM chain introduced hydrophobic group , preparation of hydrophobically modified polyacrylamide , and used its infrared spectrum line used in this experiment . The experiments show that the PAM radiation cross -linked polymer in 60 < / sup > Co - γ -ray radiation the process of cross-linking to play a leading role . Pre- radiation graft copolymerization method , using pre- radiation - the solution graft copolymerization with pre- radiation - micellar graft copolymerization of two processes . Preirradiation - Micellar graft copolymerization of discussion of the hydrophobic monomer content , pH value , the influence of the content of the water - soluble comonomers , the irradiation time , reaction time , reaction temperature and other reaction conditions on the apparent viscosity of an aqueous solution of the graft product , determined the best experimental conditions of the reaction . Compared with PAM and a graft product of the synthesis of these two processes have certain thickening effect. Which , pre- radiation - the micelles graft copolymerization process was significantly better than the pre- radiation - the solution grafting copolymerization process the aqueous solution apparent viscosity of the product of the former is much higher than the latter . In total radiation graft copolymerization method , respectively, using the PAM swollen state of radiation grafting and PAM solid phase co - radiation grafting two processes , these two processes can be hydrophobically modified to achieve a certain degree of PAM . Wherein the radiation grafting with the solid-phase co copolymerizable than in the swollen state of radiation graft copolymerization, irradiation effects cause the polymer serious crosslinking . When the radiation dose is greater than 0.3kGy grafted products severe crosslinking occurs thereby affecting its water-soluble .
