Abstract


Nationality equality of Marxism is a development of bringing forth new ideas of carrying on the reasonable kernel ---- equality of nationality of capitalism. It is also a very important part of ethnic theories of Marxism and basic principal of solving ethnic minority issue of Marxism. The theory of nationality equality of Marxism believes every ethnic group participate in creation of world history and contribute to human culture, so every ethnic group should enjoy the equal position and rights. Cultural relative is a viewpoint of western cultural anthropology and it thinks the culture of every ethical group has relative value, and cannot justify the value of a culture by using another cultural value standard. There is no high and low difference among cultures and they should be equal. It is hard to practice of cultural relative and still in many difficulties, but it doesn’t matter the rationality and we should correct understand about it. Because of the inseparable of culture and nationality, there would be a relation between the nationality equality of Marxism and cultural relative. Due to the attribution to different theory system, they have tremendous difference by illuminating nationality equality from distinct angles and express the cultural logos, respecting cultural diversity. Against globalization background, many national culture of our country is fading away by all kinds of shocks, and culture diversity based on cultural relativism should be the inexorable trend of the world development. In such case, if we set up the idea of cultural relativism to promote the development of our country under ethical multiculturalism, and persist the road of nationality equality of Marxism, it will advance the flourishing situation of ethical multiculturalism of China.
