Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF; trade name: MMF) is mycophenolic acid (MPA), morpholino ethyl single phosphate inosine dehydrogenase (IMPDH), a purine ribose, amino acids, one-carbon units and CO2 and other simple substance is synthesized purine nucleotide process of one of the key enzymes of the MMF selective effect on the eukaryotic cell of IMPDH blocking DNA synthesis, thus inhibiting the synthesis of purine nucleotide. Objective: In this study, by mycophenolate mofetil role in liver cancer cells HepG-2 observed mycophenolate mofetil on cell proliferation, apoptosis, adhesion, to explore its possible clinical significance in liver transplantation. Methods: The morphological changes in different time periods role in liver cancer cells, MTT method inhibition rate of tumor cell growth, cell cycle was detected by flow cytometry, Hoechst 33258 staining of apoptotic cells was observed with different concentrations of mycophenolate mofetil cell adhesion assay cell adhesion rate. On PCR results: concentration mycophenolate mofetil concentration of 100μg/ml experimental group / control group ratio were 0.42 ± 0.05,0.51 ± 0.03, ICAM-1, VCAM-1 expression gradually weakened with increasing concentrations of expression . Conclusion: Mycophenolate mofetil inhibits hepatoma cell HepG-2 growth, induction of apoptosis, cell growth arrest in the G1 phase of the cell cycle analysis showed significantly lower S-phase fraction and reduce cell adhesion, inhibition of proliferation of tumor cells, with the time and dose dependence. Prompted mycophenolate mofetil may inhibit hepatocellular carcinoma.
